We’re living in the hyper automation phase

Generative AI is being adopted at warpspeed across businesses, but when it comes to employing automation, certain principles should be kept in mind.

Standardizing practices are crucial for successful automation implementation, and organizations can benefit from a wider lens approach in order to choose the right technology, according to Manas Arora (pictured, second from the right) director of AI products at Capgemini Services SAS.

“We are actually living the hyper automation phase, where AI, analytics and robotics are coexisting together,” Arora said. “I think it really doesn’t matter where it starts, it really does matter how the principles are followed. A couple of them that I can definitely talk about, is standardizing practices across the different life cycles.”

Arora, Gafoor Sarang (second from the left) global lead of process excellence and intelligent automation at CSL Ltd. and Lennart Arends (left) senior business technology consultant at Eneco Group spoke with theCUBE industry analyst Lisa Martin (right) at the UiPath FORWARD event, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed the need for strategic vision, standardized practices, collaboration and a focus on value creation in order to achieve positive business outcomes through automation and AI. Generating business value through automation

The rapid advancement of technology is now impacting every part of an organization, from the front office to the back office, and is becoming a key driver for cost savings and improved customer and employee experiences, explained Arora.

Automation sets out to generate business value by understanding the problems, setting realistic expectations and aligning with stakeholders. This translates into an engaged team with automation champions across departments  to extend the program’s success.

“I think organizations themselves know how the automation chart is going because most of the enterprises now have started adopting automation,” Arora said. “They are setting up a strategy. We play a role in fine tuning that strategy in terms of setting the best practices, in terms of augmenting any sort of work that they’re trying to do and giving them the right guidance.”
