Exploring AI’s future: Generative AI challenges and what lies ahead

Artificial intelligence is reshaping industries, especially in the area of generative AI. One of the companies at the forefront of this wave of change is Quantiphi Inc., an AI-first digital engineering company.

Quantiphi has undergone an evolving journey in the realm of AI, taking on the challenges and promises of generative AI. An AI-first digital engineering company, Quantiphi has not only been a premier partner with Google Cloud for seven years, but has also garnered significant recognition, winning several awards, including Breakthrough Partner of the Year for North America.

“This year was phenomenal for us,” said Saurabh Mishra (pictured), global leader for Google Cloud Business at Quantiphi, “We got four awards. The biggest one was around winning Breakthrough Partner of the Year for North America. This was our second year in a row.”

Mishra spoke with theCUBE industry analysts John Furrier and Dustin Kirkland at the Google Cloud Next event, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed Quantiphi’s achievements, its contributions to generative AI and the future trends that will shape the AI landscape. (* Disclosure below.)

Navigating the landscape of generative AI

Generative AI, a topic of considerable interest for Quantiphi, was a key focus, as Mishra provided valuable insights into the challenges and potential of the technology. Generative AI needs to be reliable, according to Mishra, as he acknowledging that there have been instances where AI-generated responses have been semantically correct but contextually incorrect, which only underscores the importance of trust and accuracy in AI systems.

“What we are doing is … we’ve been working on ethical principles of responsible AI,” he said. “The systems that we are building we are ensuring they are free of bias. They are fair, they are transparent and explainable … these are some of the principles that we follow.”

The increasing excitement and activity in the open-source AI community has highlighted the potential for innovation and growth in this field, especially when it comes to the younger generation and startups in the AI ecosystem, according to Mishra. This optimism reflects the transformative potential of AI, particularly generative AI, in reshaping industries and driving innovation.

“We are very excited about what the world is going to look like in the next three years and five years,” he said. “Our industry is going to adopt technology and have a new way of working.”

Quantiphi’s offerings center on integrating generative AI for domain-specific tasks, enhancing knowledge workers’ productivity. The company’s flagship enterprise generative AI platform, called Baioniq, is an enterprise-ready generative AI platform that empowers organizations to enhance the productivity of knowledge workers by implementing AI for industry-specific downstream tasks.

“We’ve been focused a lot on talking to the executives and leaders,” he said. “There will be a foundational model that will help enable a lot of tasks. This will require different types of skills and engineering capabilities and customers will have to invest in upskilling their team.”
